Dear Buzznet

You know how, when you're writing a new journal entry, there are three little buttons at the bottom? "Save Draft," "Cancel," and "Publish"?

Design tip: if you're going to make one of those buttons more prominent than the others, by making it bright blue and putting it right in the middle, don't make that button delete the long-ass journal I just spent the last hour writing.

I'd say this is Design 101, but I'm not sure that issue has ever come up in a design class. Keeping the "Destroy My Work" button off to the side is usually considered common sense.

New Policy!

Someday, I will probably use this profile to plug all my stupid projects. As such, people who send friend requests, and aren't obvious spam-monsters, will get approved, no questions asked. The better to direct you to all the crap my friends and I are doing in other parts of the internet.

And then, we'll sell stuff to you.

Many, many months ago, a friend convinced me to set up an account here. I played around with the settings a bit, turned everything green, and promptly forgot about it.

I don't feel too bad about that, though, because I have a real website where I've actually been posting stuff. Very little of it has to do with music you like, and it's lacking in the sexy photo department, but I like to think I write some funny (or at least clever) stuff on occasion.

So go there instead. That link again is The Beak.

Dammit, I paid for that domain, and I'm not about to blog somewhere else.
